Bethlehem Township Man Charged with Murder After Allegedly Slitting Wife’s Throat and Stabbing Her Multiple Times

A disturbing incident has shocked the community of Bethlehem Township, Pennsylvania, where 57-year-old James Christopher Frank faces charges of criminal homicide for the violent death of his wife, Deborah Glaser.

On the evening of March 11, 2025, Bethlehem Township police responded to a home on the 200 block of Channing Avenue after receiving a welfare check request from a concerned family member unable to reach the couple.

Upon arriving, officers gained entry through a second-story window and discovered Frank inside the home. Frank calmly informed them, “My wife, Deborah Glaser, is deceased in the bathtub.” Officers found Glaser’s body with visible injuries, including blood on her face and a belt wrapped around her neck.

Authorities discovered multiple severe injuries indicating a brutal assault. Frank admitted to investigators that he had cut his wife's throat with a steak knife. Shockingly, he also admitted to using a hammer to drive a knife into her chest approximately ten times, reportedly to ensure she was dead.

District Attorney Stephen Baratta described the scene as deeply disturbing and upsetting, highlighting the severity of domestic violence involved. Neighbors expressed shock, describing the neighborhood as peaceful and never expecting such a tragedy could occur in their community.

James Christopher Frank was arraigned and is currently held without bond at the Northampton County Prison. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25. The investigation into the tragic incident continues as the community mourns the loss of Deborah Glaser.
