A Florida high school football coach, renowned for his state championship victories, has been accused of viewing explicit content in front of students in a classroom. Max Edwards, the head football coach at Miami Jackson Senior High School, was allegedly filmed watching pornography on a school computer, with the content visible to at least one student, according to CBS Miami.
The video shows Edwards, a staff member at the school, sitting at a desktop computer in a classroom with the explicit material clearly visible. Following the allegation, Edwards has been placed on leave while the Miami-Dade School District investigates the incident.
“Miami-Dade Public Schools is deeply troubled by the reported behavior of an employee at Miami Jackson Senior High School,” the district said in a statement. “The individual has been removed from the school pending the outcome of the investigation.”
Edwards, who previously coached at Miami Northwestern Senior High School for over a decade, led his teams to three state championships during his tenure.
