A Maryland woman has been charged with first-degree murder after allegedly killing her 11-year-old daughter and four family pets in a shocking incident that has left a community in mourning.
Keyona Dillon, 34, is accused of strangling her daughter, London Olsen, and killing a dog, two cats, and a rabbit prior to the attack. According to court documents, Dillon allegedly told police she killed the animals to "show the victim what would happen to her if she didn’t tell the truth.”
Disturbing Scene Discovered
Police were called to a home in Middle River, Maryland, around noon on Thursday, January 23. Inside, officers found London’s body, along with the remains of the pets. A ligature mark was reportedly found on the girl’s neck, indicating she had been strangled.
Court documents reveal that Dillon’s 5-year-old daughter told investigators her mother had beaten the pets with a hammer the night before London was killed.
Officers also discovered three other children inside the home who were unharmed.
Erratic Behavior and Arrest
When police attempted to speak with Dillon, she reportedly exhibited erratic behavior and made unusual statements, including claims about exposing child sex rings, transsexuals, and the Proud Boys. Authorities say she also made accusations that groups were conspiring to set her up.
Dillon was taken into custody and is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. It is currently unclear if she has entered a plea or if she has legal representation.
Community in Shock
The tragic incident has sent shockwaves through the Middle River community, leaving neighbors and family members grappling with what led to the violence.
