28-year-old Briasha Stroud faces severe charges in Deer Park, Ohio, for allegedly shooting her young son in a tragic garage incident.

Authorities in Ohio have charged 28-year-old Briasha Stroud with attempted murderĀ and felonious assaultĀ after she allegedly shot her 12-year-old son in the head inside their garage.

The incident took place on Sunday, January 26, when a frantic 911 call was made by Stroudā€™s boyfriend. He told the dispatcher that both Stroud and her son had been shotĀ at his home in Deer Park.

"I need EMS immediately. I think she just shot her son, and she is overdosing,"Ā the caller said, his voice shaking.

According to police reports, the boyfriend was inside the house when the gun went off. Upon entering the garage, he discovered Stroud unconscious in the driverā€™s seat, foaming at the mouth, and her son slumped in the passenger seat with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency responders arrived quickly, directing the man to apply pressure to the childā€™s wound while waiting for paramedics. Both Stroud and her son were transported to a local hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.

Authorities have not provided further details regarding a motive or the events leading up to the shooting. As of now, Stroud remains in custody at the Hamilton County Justice Center. She is set to appear in court for her arraignment on Friday, February 7.

This heartbreaking case continues to unfold as investigators work to determine the circumstances behind the shooting.
