Despite Means' public expressions of heartbreak and longing for her family to be reunited, law enforcement officials have stated that foul play is not suspected in the deaths of Means and her two children. Surveillance cameras captured the heartbreaking moment when Means' 9-year-old son, Roman Rossman, and five-month-old daughter, Mecca Means, entered the water after their mother on the evening of October 28.

It has been revealed that Means, a graduate of a school in Buffalo, worked as a domestic violence counselor in Niagara Falls. Her cousin, Bierra Hamilton, has emphasized that Means' actions were not solely driven by a breakup or relationship issues, but rather underscored the silent battle she was fighting against postpartum depression.

Hamilton has urged for greater awareness and understanding of postpartum depression, emphasizing the need for proper support and resources for individuals who may be struggling with mental health challenges. Means' tragic death serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of addressing mental health issues and reaching out for help in times of distress.

As the community mourns the loss of Chianti Means and her two children, the devastating impact of mental health struggles on individuals and families is brought to the forefront, sparking conversations about the importance of destigmatizing mental health issues and providing necessary support for those in need.
